The Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland including Edo and Delta states , Alhaji Olatunde Badmos has enjoined Nigerians irrespective of religious persuation to shun ethnic bigotry , violence and criminality and instead unite to develop Nigeria.
Asiwaju Badmos made the call in Osogbo in his message in commemmoration of the celebration of ed ul adha.
The business tycoon and islamic leader said no country can develop in the face of acrimonies and backbiting.
According to him , Kidnapping for ransome , internet fraud , armed banditary , robbery , thuggery and all forms of violence are anti social activities that can do Nigeria no good.
Asiwaju Badmos stressed the need for the military ,the Nigerian police and other security agencies to continue to review their tactics in combating crime to make the country safe.
He observed that without the assurance of safety , foreign investors may be discouraged from investing in Nigeria.
The Asiwaju musulumi also charged the youth in the country not to see taking to crime as alternative to unemployment but rather be innovative , diligent and prayerful to succeed.
He charged all muslims to emulate the fidelity , piety , perseverance , fortitude ,Forthrightness and faithfulness of Prophet Ibrahim whose exemplary conduct Allah used to establish and stamp the origin of eid ul adha festival.
