The Deputy Governor of Osun state, Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi has felicitated with Christians in the State, Nigeria and the entire world on the auspicious occasion of Easter season which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Mr Alabi in his Easter message contained in a release made available by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sunkanmi Ajiboye, enjoined Christians to imbibe the significance of the feast in the Christian calendar by making themselves an advocate of peace, a light over darkness, hope over despair and good over evil as exemplified by Christ.
The Deputy Governor emphasised the need for Christians to emulate Christ, who, out of love and obedience to God, sacrificed himself completely in order to save the world.
He however called on people of the state and Nigeria in general, especially the Christians to maximise the period of the feast to intensify prayers for peace to reign supreme and for the day of bountiful Economic harvest to return to the state of Osun and Nigeria.
Mr Alabi also called on Christians to sustain the good spirit of total commitment and service to God and humanity as displayed in the Lenten season.
He wished the entire Christians happy Easter celebration and the grace to witness many more of it in the land of the living.
