The Senator-elect for Osun East Senatorial District, Prince Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the celebration of Easter festival with a call on them to imbibe the teachings of Jesus Christ.
In his Easter message signed by his Media Assistant, Sam Segun-Progress and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Fadahunsi charged Nigerians to reflect on the genesis of the festival which is true love to mankind.
It added that Jesus died for the whole world to receive forgiveness and grace. This, he said is an utmost price that is very difficult to pay for the generality of mankind but he did this for us.
Asking rhetorically, are we ready to show love to one another today? Are we committed to the growth and development of our community, society and the nation at large? How genuine are we to the course of nation building?
Fadahunsi charged Nigerians to reflect on the sufferings, endurance, perseverance of Jesus Christ by fasting day and night for forty days before surrendering himself to the hands of the then Roman World power to pay the ultimate price for you and me.
“Jesus Christ was not a politician and was not after what he stands to gain from mankind but He humbled himself, preached the gospel, healed the sick, delivered those in bondage and performed many extraordinary miracles providing for the poor and needy. How many of us are ready and committed to follow His footpath to the end?” He asked.
While calling on Christians to celebrate moderately, he charged the Muslim brothers and sisters to equally celebrate the festival as a festival of love, peace and kindness. This is because according to him, we are all serving one God that is supreme above mankind
He charged his constituents of Ife/Ijesaland to eschew all forms of bitterness but join hands with him to elevate the district into an envious one for all. This is just as he reechoed his determination to ensure that the dividends of democracy gets to every nook and crannies of the district.
He also assured that his own brand of politics would be geared towards maximum human capital development of the indigenes and residents devoid of any form of covert impoverishment of the innocent masses, saying his doors are open to all.
