Scores of leaders and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday thronged the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo, the Osun State capital to witness the flag-off of the Osun Central Senatorial District campaigns for the 2023 general elections, AMILOADED reports.
The PDP senatorial candidate, Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi, unveiled his agenda for the people of Osun Central, adding that he would be going to the Senate to team up with other lawmakers to bring development to the country through sound legislation.
Fadeyi unveiled his cardinal programmes to include, equal opportunities and community priority; construction of health centres, solar powered boreholes and rural roads; employment opportunities into Federal government Ministries, departments and agencies; priority for the traditional institutions, clerics and clergymen.
Others were support for teachers, civil servants, pensioners, artisans and farmers; yearly Ajagunla bursary allowances; provision of health visitation for elders; 35 percent political priority for women and empowerments; creation of extra liaison offices in each local government in Osun Central; and quarterly free fuel subsidy for Okada riders, motorists and vulcanizers.
The PDP senatorial candidate expressed gratitude to supporters, leaders, and members of the party present at the flagoff including the Osun State Governor, Sen. Ademola; the deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, among others.
He also thanked PDP House of Representative candidates in the state, urging supporters across the ten local government areas in Osun central to ensure that all candidates of the party are voted at the polls.
