Osun 2022: Meet Rasaq Adejumo, SDP Gubernatorial Candidate

 

Mr Rasaq Adejumo has been declared winner of the governorship primary election of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Osun State, held at the NULGE EVENT HALL Olosan Junction, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

In a keenly contested election under the tight security of DSS and Police was supervised by Independent National Electoral Commissions and all the security agents.

Declaring the result of the exercise held at the NULGE EVENT HALL, Osogbo, the leader of the party’s National Congress Committee said Mr Rasaq Adejumo defeated Architect Goke Omigbodun by 55 to 45 delegate votes to emerge as SDP candidate for the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.

The National Congress Committee Chairman, Barr. Joe Abu, took excuse for stomach upset and the result was announced by the Secretary of the Committee Mr Oladele Ogunbameru from Ondo State and a member of the Committee Mr Femi Ferari was present.

The Committee secretary said: “By the power conferred on me as the secretary of the Electoral Committee of this gubernatorial primary, we hereby collectively declare Rasaq Adejumo as the winner of the governorship primary election of SDP in Osun State.
