Unknown gunmen raided the house of a man named Joseph Msen Akosu in the early hours of Saturday May 28th, and killed him with his wife after which they were burnt beyond recognition. The bizarre event took place at Abinsi, Guma LGA of Benue State.
The cause of this brutality isn’t clear yet but speculations have it that it was as a result of land disputes between the Tivs. Security agencies have since taken charge of the area to ensure peace. Meanwhile the Chairman of Guma LG have set up measures to bring to book those responsible.
