The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on the Bureau of Social Services, Akintunde Bello, has urged the Osun State Government to organize a global award conferment in recognition of Davido’s efforts in Governor Adeleke’s victory.
In a lengthy post shared on his official social media page, the SSA said Davido was among those who believed deeply in Senator Adeleke’s dream to be the best he could be during the 2022 Osun governorship election.
He added that Davido was confident his uncle would win, and with the help and support of the populace, Adeleke secured victory.
The BOSS head further stated that Davido stood firm and remained counted until Senator Adeleke’s victory was achieved.
The Post reads, “I like to hold that if there was anybody who believed more in Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke’s dream to be the best he can be during the struggle days when nothing was sure, The Ace Singer Davido Adeleke, was ranked top in that category. I listened again to one of Davido’s music album where the Afrobeat Legend sang during the countdown to the gubernatorial election and I was moved to a melting agreement. Davido extolled his Dad’s unarguable inexhaustible wealth by the grace of God and even quoted a date that the Chairman of Pacific Holdings Dr Deji Adeleke has been in possession of fortunes since 1964, he went on to do a review of the affluence of the Man who later and in turn today is the Governor of Osun State Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. He excitingly listed verbatim that the Governor is an award winning, dancing Senator, and incoming Governor back then.
“Davido was too confident that his Uncle was going to win. And His Excellency indeed won with the help and support of the populace. If the history of the triumph, freedom and victory we are all enjoying in Osun State must be told forever, the roles by Davido Adeleke can not be overemphasised. Such a wonderful Influencer of general good. It therefore goes to say that there is no thank you mechanism for Davido that can ever compensate for his labour which yielded, using his resources, energies, reach and talent.
“Davido is undoubtedly rich than to imagine he can make profits in the Government. What comes to mind is a form of legacy gratification and reward mode. I hope the Osun State Government can organise a global award conferment in recognition of the efforts of Davido Adeleke for his landmark achievements and especially His sacrificial sweat that aggregated to birth the good governance we are witnessing today in Osun State. Davido stood and was counted until the freedom was achieved. He did not backtrack half way.”
