In celebration of Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola 70th birthday, Ilerioluwa APC in Osogbo Local Government is set to empower over 200 women with a microfinance fund aimed at boosting their businesses.
The event will hold on Saturday 28th September, 2024 at Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office Ogo-oluwa Osogbo by 11:00am.
According to the organizing committee, the initiative underscores a commitment to women’s economic empowerment and community development, aligning with the values Oyetola has promoted throughout his leadership.
The release reads in parts, “Over 200 women will receive microfinance funds to boost their businesses, promoting financial inclusion and entrepreneurship in the region.
“The fund will provide vital resources and support, helping women enhance their entrepreneurial skills and improve their livelihoods.
“As a former governor, Oyetola has been instrumental in shaping Osun State’s economy and politics. His tenure saw significant developments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. This empowerment program aligns with his administration’s focus on uplifting the community, particularly women.
“The microfinance initiative will provide women with access to financial resources, enabling them to grow their businesses and improve their economic stability. This is crucial in Nigeria, where women often face challenges in accessing credit and financial services.
“By supporting women entrepreneurs, the Ilerioluwa APC Osogbo Local Government is contributing to the growth of Osun State’s economy and fostering a more inclusive society.”
