The Ogiyan of Ejigbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin II, has lost one of his wives, Olori Moniade Oyeyode.

It was gathered that Olori Moniade passed away late Sunday (Yesterday) after a brief illness.

The cause of her death cannot be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

However, sons and daughters of Ejigbo have taken to their social media pages to mourn the death of Olori Moniade.

Reacting to the news, Olujinmi Asagade, a lawmaker representing Ejigbo constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, described Olori Moniade as a virtuous queen whose remarkable impact would live on forever.

He added that the loss has created a vacuum not only in the palace but also in the entirety of Ejigboland.

He wrote; “With heavy heart, I write to condole His Royal Majesty, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode-Oyesosin II, the Ogiyan of Ejigbo,on the sudden demise of our amiable mother, Olori Moniade Oyeyode.

“Olori Moniade Oyeyode was a virtuous queen whose remarkable impact would live forever. Her loss is not only creating vacuum in the palace but in the entirety of Ejigbo Land. However, with belief that we shall meet in the earth hereafter to reign with our Lord, we are all consoled. May her gentle soul rest in peace.”
