AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The lawmaker representing Ede South, Ede North, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has once again commissioned 13 major projects across his constituency, as part of the program marking his first year in the 10th Assembly.

The projects were commissioned on Monday by the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in various communities in Ede, Ejigbo, and Egbedore local government areas.

The newly commissioned projects include ICT centers, school buildings, transformers, solar-powered boreholes, and the foundation for a skill acquisition center, among others. The lawmaker also flagged off a road project.

Speaking at the commissioning, Gov. Adeleke commended the lawmaker for being a man of the people, stating that only representatives elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party take development to the grassroots.

Gov. Adeleke called on constituents to continue supporting the lawmaker and the state government.

Speaking with newsmen, Rep. Salam expressed his gratitude to his constituents. “I am grateful to God and to the people for the support they have given me, which made all this possible. These are some of the things we’ve been able to bring back to our community as a result of the opportunity to serve in the House of Representatives,” he stated.

The lawmaker highlighted his motivation for the projects, emphasizing the importance of providing essential infrastructure for artisans in the constituency. “A lot of people are engaged in various forms of artisanship, and they need to power their tools and machines, which they couldn’t do before now. That’s one of the driving forces behind my decision to provide these resources,” Salam said.

Hon. Salam further revealed that some of the projects were personally funded, including a transformer worth N40 million, while others, such as the ICT center and classroom project, were facilitated through his efforts, valued at N100 million and N160 million, respectively.

In his own words, the Ologobi of Ogobi, Oba Abdulwasiu Iwaloye, thanked the lawmaker, noting that this is the first time the community has experienced electricity in decades.
