Scrap the NYSC If You Can’t Pay #70,000 – Sowore Tells FG

The convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, has told the Tinubu-led government to scrap the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) if they cannot pay a minimum wage to corps members.

This was stated in a post shared on his official social media page on Monday.

Recall that Sowore had earlier criticized the federal government, stating that the N33,000 monthly stipend for NYSC members is a “slave wage.”

He also asserted that corps members should be paid no less than N250,000.

He wrote: “If you CAN’T pay ‘Youth Corpers’ a minimum wage, scrap the National Youth Service Corps!”
