Osun APC Reacts to Badru’s Death

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mourned the sudden death of one its eminent chieftains, Alhaji Gbadebo Khalid Badru, who reportedly died in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to the Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, today, the death of Alhaji Badru who was the Asiwaju Musulumi of Iwoland till his death, was shocking, pathetic and tragic.

Lawal who stated that the exit of Alhaji Badru was a serious blow to the progressive party in Iwoland hinted that it is on record that the deceased who was a Special Adviser under the immediate-past administration of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, was a rallying point for the APC in Iwoland.

The state APC chairman commiserated with all the APC members and leaders in Iwo over the sudden loss of their illustrious son whose replacement would be very difficult to accomplish.

He explained further that the death of the consummate politician was one death, too many as he left this world unannounced when the wealth of his political experience would be needed most.

Lawal enjoined the biological and political families of Alhaji Badru to take his death philosophically as it is God who giveth that also taketh.

The state APC chairman described Alhaji Badru as a bridge builder between the old and the young politicians as he was always available and interested in solving people’s problems irrespective of political leanings.

In Lawal’s words: “The news of the sudden death of Alhaji Gbadebo Khalid Badru today was tragic, pathetic and I have been praying that it wasn’t a reality but a mere dream as there was nothing to show that the Maiyegun Musulumi of Iwoland would meet his maker so soon.

“I am however, taking solace in the fact that death is a necessary end of all mortals while it is only when and where it would happen that is beyond the knowledge of human beings.

“May Allah repose his soul, forgive his excesses and grant his widow, the children, relations and the dependants the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, the state party chairman prayed.
