Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose, has announced that the #EndBadCitizens protests will begin nationwide on September 4, 2024.

He made this announcement on Sunday through a poster posted on his official social media account.

Fayose urged Nigerians to save the date.

In a separate video he posted, Fayose described “bad citizens” as those who obstruct roads, accept bribes, and import fake products, among other behaviors.

The announcement has generated mixed reactions on social media, with many expressing their readiness to participate in the protest.

Recall that the country has been experiencing EndBadGovernance protests since September 1, as people have taken to the streets in various parts of the country to protest against hunger.

On Sunday, the President addressed Nigerians, appealing to the protesters to suspend the nationwide demonstrations in the interest of peace and unity.

Olushola: “Would like to be part of it … Good move.”

Emmanuella Effiong: “It’s well, but if bad government causes bad citizens, then ending bad government should also end bad citizens. Will the government protest against the citizens?”
