Students Pen Emotional Tribute As OSPOLY Loses Lecturer

Students of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have taken to their various social media platforms to mourn the demise of a lecturer from the Faculty of Science, Mr. Olumide Oyetade.

It was gathered that Mr. Oyetade died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

Dr. Tope Abiola, the Dean of Students Affairs at the institution, confirmed Mr. Oyetade’s passing. He described him as a hardworking and dedicated lecturer, while sending his condolences to family and friends.

According to reports, the late Olumide Oyetade hailed from Ode-Omu in Osun State.

His sudden death has generated reactions online, with students describing him as a father figure who was passionate about students’ success.

Mr oyetade is a father during his days on health, one of the best lecturers science shouldn’t have lost at this time, he is always after students success,Mr oyetade is always full of life,fun to be around with,very loving and humble! Abolarin Damilola Adeola: “I didn’t know him ooh, but he is a very good man when the students of his department talk about him today,i was like. May his soul rest in perfect peace”

Temitope Folasade Adunola. “Hmmmm! What a great loss. Absolutely, he was a great man with a good spirit. He will be missed greatly. RIP “

Maryham Lawal Adewoye: “I never knew that was the last time I saw him during my project 2019. He really tried with putting us through and interpretation of result of the practicals Subuannallah!!He’s such a very nice man and kindhearted fatherly figure.. May Almighty Allah grant him Al Jannah fridaous”

Prince Adegboyega Jamiu: “This is a great lost to the entire faculty of science. You barely see him without putting on a smiling face. May Allah accept your coming and grant you best of janat. Rest in peace Oga mi”

Kolawole Lawrence: “Mr oyetade, you always smile and encourage us during or after each lecture. You took us as your children. U are a great father and mentor to alot of students. U will be greatly missed by the entire faculty of science. Rest well. Am just short of words. Adieu baba.”

Ajayi Opeyemi Modupeoluwa: “His passion, kindness and guidance touch many lives including mine, you will be deeply missed. Your impact will never be forgotten. May God grant you eternal rest, daddy.”

Mary Ayomide: “A valour man who took us as his children. Forever in our heart. We will miss you sir. Rest in perfect peace”
