The lawmaker representing Obokun Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi, popularly known as ‘Irekandu’, has reiterated his commitment to deliver “excellent representation and strong legislation” that would grow his constituents and the people of the state.
The lawmaker made this known at the 37th edition of a monthly programme held at the Osun NUJ council in Osogbo, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Adeyemi, while addressing journalists, further disclosed that his major interest lies in the execution of his primary roles as a legislator, which he said are basically lawmaking, oversight functions, and engagements.
He added that he has contributed to education through the provision of scholarship grants for disadvantaged constituents and the purchase of JAMB forms, among others.
While appreciating the Osun Assembly and Governor Ademola Adeleke for the safe passage and accentuation of the disability bill he sponsored into law, Adeyemi stated that the bill would have positive effects across the state, including the people of Obokun Constituency.
The lawmaker, who disclosed that he made grants available for women to access, added that some short bridges had been fixed through his intervention.
