An irate mob beat some officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC to stupor for allegedly causing an accident at Oke Bola area of Ibadan metropolis.
Though, it couldn’t be confirmed as of the time of filing this story, the affected officials were allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident.
In a viral video recorded around Oke Bola Market, one of the official vans of the FRSC was blocked by the mob.
The driver of the van, according to a resident of the area, alighted from the vehicle and ran for dear life.
As the mob gave him a hot chase, another FRSC officer, who allegedly led the team, quietly crossed to the other side of the road unknown to him that the attention of the mob was now focused on him when they couldn’t catch the driver of the vehicle.
He was caught by a man who started beating him before other people joined him.
On getting the wind of the fracas, some policemen who usually control vehicles at the market junction hurriedly escaped the scene.
Mr Akanbi, who said he was at a filling station buying fuel added that people vented their anger on the FRSC officials.
