The wife of the Osun State Governor, Ambassador (Mrs.) Ngozi Adeleke, has paid a supportive visit to the venue where Samson Ajao is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon reading.
Mrs. Adeleke, who stormed the venue on Thursday, was accompanied by top government officials, including the Coordinator, Imole Youth Corps, Chief Johnson Oyedele.
During the visit, she encouraged Samson Ajao to keep his spirit and remain focused and determined until the end of the reading challenge, while she would continue to provide the necessary support to ensure his success and bring the world record to Nigeria.
She confirmed that the governor is aware of Samson’s quest to break the Guinness World Record, and will soon mobilize support to see that Ajao places the country on the global map while promoting a reading culture.
AMILOADED had earlier reported that Ajao Samson began the longest reading aloud marathon on Monday at Adolak Conference Hall in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, and it is expected to last for nine days.
As of the time of filing this report, he had read for over 78 hours out of the proposed 214 hours.
