Actress Zainab Balogun Questions Why Pastors Trend For Wrong Reasons

Actress Zainab Balogun has raised her concerns following the negative trends of the way the gospel is being disseminated recently.

She questioned how people are supposed to hear the gospel when pastors are always trending for the wrong reasons.

In a post via her X handle, on Monday, May 26, Zainab wrote: “The rise of church media teams and their pastors trending for the wrong reasons

“How are we supposed to hear the gospel with all this paparazzi?”, she asked.

This comes after Pastor Femi Lazarus was in the news following his recent sermon where he called out women who complained about menstrual pains, tagging them as not being “peaceful”.

He referenced Queen Esther and Deborah in the Bible, saying that they had their periods too, and never complained about menstrual pain.

He said: “I never saw anywhere in the bible any woman complained that I am angry because I am having menstrual pain. You are just not a peaceful person, period.”
