O-HIS Renews Accreditation For Service Providers In Osun, To Improve Healthcare

The Osun Health Insurance Scheme (O-HIS) has begin the renewal of accreditation for service providers partnering with the agency to deliver top-notch healthcare services to the residents of Osun State.

The providers accredited by O-HIS were Shifau Rahmon Integrative Hospital and Alafia-Oluwa Maternity Hospital in Osun State.

The Head of Standard and Quality Assurance (SQA) at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in Osun State, Dr. Adekunle Adeyemo who led Members of the State Health Insurance Agency during the exercise held recently in the state, said the scheme would help to deliver good healthcare services to the residents.

Commending the visited hospitals for their dedication, Adeyemo urged them to strive for excellence, emphasising the goal of positioning Osun’s health sector as a standout among its counterparts.

Adeyemo, who recommended some areas of improvement for the hospitals, assured resident of the scheme’s commitment to extending the accreditation process to other hospitals registered as providers.

“Just like its motto, ‘providing access to qualitative healthcare without tears’, the O-HIS programme has continued to play a vital role in ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for the people of Osun, with ongoing efforts to enhance standards and meet the healthcare needs of the state,” he added.
