JUST IN: Tinubu’s Security Adviser, Others Meet El-Rufai After His Visit To SDP Office (Photos

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu visited the former governor of Kaduna State, Mal. Nasiru El-Rufai at his residence in Abuja.

Ribadu made the visit on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, according to a post made by El-Rufai’s aide, Muyiwa Adekeye on Thursday.

This comes amid the rumour that the outspoken former governor plans to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to an opposition party.

El-Rufai paid a visit to the national secretariat of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abuja, on Wednesday.

A source privy to the visit informed TheEagleonline that El-Rufai’s visit to the opposition party’s secretariat was unexpected and thus tagged as a “surprise visit”.

It was learned that the move was made towards strengthening his political affiliations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The source hinted further that the former Governor was there on a consultation visit to the National Chairman of the SDP, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam.

Gabam hailed El-Rufai as a friend with a strong political background, noting that Nigeria needed transformational leaders like him.

El-Rufai has recently paid consultation visits to some prominent leaders from various political groups.

Recall that the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was on his way to securing a ministerial appointment in the government of President Bola Tinubu but he was dropped in the dying minute.

The Senate had failed to clear him over alleged security clearance.

Subsequently, the former minister went abroad and literarily withdrew from politics.

However, he returned to the country and continued his life quietly,
