As a gesture of gratitude and to seek divine blessings for the for the lawmaker representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency in Osun State, Hon. Mudashiru Lukman popularly known as L&K, dignitaries, including religious leaders, political figures, and community representatives, stormed his residence to participate in the interdenominational prayer.
The forum of parents under the L&K Scholarship Scheme, consisting of the grateful parents of the scholarship recipients, felt compelled to express their appreciation in a meaningful way. They recognized the lawmaker’s tremendous contribution towards their children’s education and future, and saw the prayer as an opportunity to come together in unity and thanksgiving.
As the dignitaries entered the venue, they were greeted with resounding cheers and applause from the parents and spectators present. The religious leaders, representing various denominations, led the congregation in prayers, thanking God for the lawmaker’s benevolence and asking for continued blessings upon him.
Alhaji Bilal and Pastor Adeyeye James who led the Islamic and Christian Prayers respectively , expressed their gratitude for the lawmaker’s selflessness and highlighting the positive impact his scholarship scheme had on the lives of the students and their families. They prayed for his good health, wisdom, and success in all his endeavors.
The parents, overwhelmed with emotions, also took turns coming on stage to personally express their gratitude to the lawmaker. They shared heartfelt stories about their children’s journey and how his scholarship had transformed their lives. Tears of joy streamed down their faces as they expressed their deep appreciation for the lawmaker’s generosity.
Humbled by the love and support shown by the parents and dignitaries, the lawmaker addressed the gathering with a speech filled with gratitude and humility. He expressed his belief in the power of education and his commitment to supporting the dreams and aspirations of young people.
Some of the dignitaries present at the event were the Osun PDP Senatorial Leader, Hon. Adesoye Oyetunde, Iwo Local Government Party Leader, Hon. Sulaiman Akanji Bello, Hon. Alidu Adeoye, Hon. Akinwon Wasiu, Prince Oyedeji Sunday, Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa Party chairmen respectively, Hon. Mufutau Buremo, Hon. Bello Sefiu Ayansola, Alhaja Afusat Amoo.
Among the political office holders were, Osun Special Adviser on Sanitation, Hon. Adeniyi Tunde Balogun, Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment, Hon. Eniola Odeniyi, all council chairmen in the constituency, Hon. Moshood Kabiru Adekunle Iwo Local Government, Hon. Sadiq Samuel of Ola-Oluwa local government, Hon. Ogunbiyi Akinyemi, Ayedire Local Government, Hon. Tiamiyu Adesina, Iwo East LCDA, Hon. Amoo Olaewe, Iwo West, Hon. Omidele Kazeem, Ola-Oluwa LCDA, Hon. Adeolu Akintola Ayedire South LCDA and Hon. Sikiru Oyelakin among others.
