In commemoration of his birthday on March 12, 2024, Engr. David Ayodele Asalu (ASLER) has concluded plans to donate food items to the residents of Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.
Asalu, through the 2024 Edition of his annual food distribution programme, will distribute food items, including rice, beans, and milk to over 1,000 people in Ejigbo Local Government.
Keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, Asalu has also concluded plans to provide daily Iftar to over 500 people in Ejigbo LGA.
Speaking on the donation, the APC stalwart said he believes that the current economic hardship in Nigeria require that individuals make important sacrifices for the growth of their communities and people.
According to him, while the government of President Bola Tinubu is doing a lot to re-organise Nigeria and make it a thriving nation, individuals who are well to do must also stand in the gap to provide critical support to the needy.
He further promised that he will continue to do everything within his means, “to ensure that the poorest of the poor in our society get the support they need to thrive.”
Asalu, through the food donation, continues his tradition of giving back to society on his birthday, especially through poverty alleviation and empowerment programmes.
Over the years, he has distributed food support packages to over 5,000 people in Ejigbo Local Government.
