Balogun Jorjor Initiative Holds Qur’an Competition In Osun, Rewards Winners

Balogun Jorjor Initiative, in partnership with Ibnof International Travels and Tours, has organised a Qur’an competition at Iwo Central Mosque Hall in Osun State.

The convener of the event, Habeeb Muyiwa Abdulhameed, well known as Balogun Jorjor, said the objective of the competition was to bring together Muslim youths to propagate the true teachings of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad.

He stated that the first round of the competition, conducted on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, aimed to enhance the faith and steadfastness of Muslim youths in Islam.


Abdulhameed stressed that the competition would contribute to strengthening the foundation of Islam laid by the town’s founding fathers and foster piety during the holy month of Ramadan.

The convener also announced cash prizes of N150,000, N100,000, and N50,000 for the winner, runner-up, and the second runner-up, respectively, as an incentive for the participants and the Muslim community at large.

Uztaz Saheed Miftaudeen, an Islamic scholar and attendee, praised the initiative, highlighting its potential to propagate Islam and improve the moral and professional development of Muslim youths.

Miftaudeen urged Muslims to support one another and adhere to the true teachings of Prophet Muhammad to fulfill the objectives of Ramadan.

Also speaking, one of the participants, Abdulmalik Mutohir, expressed gratitude for the opportunity provided by the organisers, saying the competition would enhance their knowledge of the Holy Quran.

He offered prayers for the success of Balogun Jorjor Initiative and Ibnof International Travels and Tours.
