The Special Adviser to Governor Adeleke on Education, Hon. Teniola Lanlehin, has raised the bar by donating textbooks to students following the mixed reactions that followed the distribution of one exercise book to each pupil in primary schools recently.
AMILOADED had reported how some netizens criticized the decision and expressed disappointment, stating that the distribution of exercise books to pupils in the 21st century, especially in 2024, was not worth celebrating online by government officials.
However, in a post on her social media page on Thursday, Hon. Teniola shared news of the new education intervention by stating, “How can you start a Book Club without books? I went shopping for English Literature books today (Thursday) to support students in preparing for WAEC. All five novels required for English Literature exams were purchased for all the Arts Students at St. James School, Osogbo.”

Some netizens have applauded the Special Adviser for her kind gesture. In response to some comments under her post, Hon. Teniola affirmed that Osun State must strive for greatness.

Olaleka20675416: @Madam SA, Can you instead donate a number of literature books for each school and have it domiciled in their library or teacher? I am particular about this because St James Osogbo cannot be the only school offering literature.

All the payment of backlog salary owesby the previous administration, road networking, are jobs that cannot buy over votes of many because such feet had been achieved by many government purchasing of text books for all the students in public primary schools is the capital work needed right now to win the hearts of the Masses.
