In addition to the previously raised sitting allowances, Governor Adeleke has revealed an integrated support package that includes medical assistance and a public-private collaboration for town development through town day celebrations.
Adeleke also revealed that his administration is taking the matter of new cars for our kings very seriously.
We are taking our responsibilities regarding new cars for our Kabiyesis very seriously. We shall gradually fulfill this sincere desire of our fathers in this regard,” he remarked.
Adeleke, who reminded the council of the inherited difficulties his government faced, stated that his team gave the royal institution priority because he was raised in a palace and because royal fathers are the greatest people to help with service delivery.
“The people live and dine with our Obas.” They have a strong bond with the populace and are the stewards of our culture. Therefore, the cornerstone of effective governance in Africa is fruitful cooperation with traditional rulers, the governor stated.
The chairman of the council, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 1 while speaking at the function stated that the council has pledged their support for the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke following his partnership with monarchs in the state.
The pledge was made on Friday, January 4 by the monarch during the governor’s second strategic consultative meeting with the royal fathers in Osogbo.
He said, “We appreciate Mr Governor for his partnership with the council. We offer open hands and we are glad that the governor has wholeheartedly embraced our hands of fellowship. We pledge full support for the success of Mr Governor.”
