The RCCG BFA has celebrated super Sunday with area combined anointing service in Osogbo, the Osun State Capital.
The program was held on 3rd of December, 2023, at RCCG Breakforth Assembly, Odi-Olowo Osogbo, Osun State.
Speaking during the service, Peter Adedeji blessed the name of God for the growth of the church, appreciating God for the success of the anointing service with the theme ‘Anointing To Avert All Evils’.
He stated that the anointing is to prevent everyone from partaking in all evils especially now that we are approaching the end of the year. And it’s only God that can secure a man, without God nobody can keep anybody.
Pastor Peter noted that if someone can move closer to God in actions and being persistence in prayer, God is ready to save his own people, while faith has to come to work in the church, if they believe God can protect and definitely he will do it.

He explained the two important words –
- Avert means turning away from something or prevent something to happen
2.Anointing means an oil for divine empowerment to be secure.
According to him, anointing to avert means an enablement of grace to prevent people from any evil that can harm them.
Pastor Peter said what to do to make God avert evil includes the following
- Be bold and strong in your heart and actions. Don’t embrace problem. 1 Sam 17:32
- Always ask for the precious blood of Jesus and God’s mercy. The blood of Jesus is very powerful. Isaiah 43:4.
- Still be persistent in fervent prayer without looking back. I Corinthians 9:1-10
- Let God be your only defender. Act 23:10-11, Psalm 71:1-3.
- Be dwelling in God permanently. Don’t ever operate outside God. Don’t journey without God. Psalm 91:1-5, psalms 16:4.
He emphasized that to do all this things they have to be born again, let Jesus be their lord and savior.
