The president also extended an invitation to the general public to attend the grand finale of the 31st Ilobu Day celebrations, which would feature dignitaries and a N200 million fund-raiser for community development initiatives.

At a press conference on Monday, Olufemi Salako, the president of the Ilobu-Asake Development Union, disclosed these to AMILOADED NEWS AGENCY.

On November 4, the Ilobu National Students Union gave a commemorative lecture, and on November 6, the Ilobu House Complex hosted an empowerment event for individuals with disabilities. Nevertheless, the 31st Ilobu Day celebration officially began on Saturday Nov 4.

The president further disclosed that a medical outreach programme will hold on the 7th of November, 2023 at the Ojutu Primary Health Centre while Ilobu culture and talents shall be on display on Wednesday 8th of November at the Palace of Olobu of Ilobu.

The President also revealed that on November 7, 2023, the Ojutu Primary Health Center will host a medical outreach program, and on November 8, Wednesday, the Palace of Olobu of Ilobu will host an exhibition of Ilobu culture and abilities.

There will be sporting activities on Thursday at St. Paul Grammar School’s Playing Field. He also revealed that this Friday will feature the annual Eko Evening and special Jumat prayer.

While listing the numerous negative consequences that the now-collapsed Laaro Bridge has caused over the years, including students from AUD Primary School, Ansar-Ud-Deen Gramar School, and Ilobu Secondary Commercial Grammar School having to crawl over debris and wade through flowing rivers every day in order to assess their school buildings, Salako also claimed that all attempts by local leaders to offer solutions to these infrastructural crises have been ineffective.

The President further urged Senator Ademola Adeleke to assist in the rehabilitation and revitalization of the Comprehensive Healthcare Centre, Konda, which is in complete disrepair and poses a risk to over 1,500 households by preventing them from accessing medical facilities.

There is a significant risk to the billion-naira facility since the Ojutu Bridge’s two sides have not been stone-pitched. Furthermore, Pastor Salako called on Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi and Hon. Adewale Maruf, our representatives in Abuja, to assist us in taking our issue nationwide.
