“Scavenging Is Not Activism”: Osun Masterminds Replies PDP

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The Osun masterminds has reacted to a report credited to the publicity Secretary of PDP in the state, said the image maker should have a firmer grip on issues of public engagement before coming to the media.

This was contained in a release signed by Prof. Wasiu Oyedokun-Alli, the Executive Director, the Osun Masterminds and made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

The statement reads; “Our attention has again been drawn to a release by one Ayodeji Areola, who unfortunately holds the office of Publicity Secretary of Osun State PDP. We say unfortunately because we think that before a person is allowed to hold such an office that directly deals with the public image of the party, such a person should first have been certified stable mentally, emotionally, and otherwise. The image maker of a ruling party should have a firmer grip on issues of public engagement and not be this uncouth, obviously unexposed gutter dweller.

“For the records, the issues we raised in our October State of the State address directly concern ONLY the State Government and not some busybodies trying to impress the government by rolling in gutters. We only will engage the government going forward and not lackeys like Ayodeji.

“If we will not waste time on the party Chairman, whose meddling with the salient issues we raised is meaningless, why should Ayodeji think we have his time?

“Again, the Osun State Government should furnish the public with details of the sustainability plan for that 100 billion Naira Infrastructure programme and provide the information through well lettered agents of this government, not political rabble-rousers. It is a duty the Adeleke government owes the people and it cannot become too arrogant to discharge it.

“We await, as we said earlier, decorous, sane and intelligent engagement.”
