AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

Dr. Rasak Akindele, the newly appointed Executive Secretary of Osun health insurance scheme(OHIS) has vowed to improve access to and delivery of healthcare in the state.

This was made known by Akindele during an interactive section held on Monday 16th of October 2023 at NMA house, Ogo Oluwa, Osogbo, Osun state.

Speaking to AMILOADED NEWS AGENCY, the executive secretary revealed that the agency has no plans to let anyone go.

Akindele also stated that the agency primarily wants to address the abuses of a select group of service providers.

Our research shows that there are people who are registered as employees but have no physical presence, underlining the problem of ghost workers. Our goal is to address this problem and give possibilities to people who are really looking for work.

According to Akindele, it is difficult to get the informal sectors to accept insurance programs more widely.

While acknowledging that awareness among informal sectors is relatively low, Akindele stated one of the main goals in his tenure is to raise awareness about the program among all participants in the state’s informal sector.

‘We’ll work with organizations, associations, market women, partisans, and more. Will do. Tell them why they should sign up for the program and the advantages of it’.

Dr. Akindele added, “Under my leadership, we would prioritize enrolling a greater percentage of the people into the program, extending our efforts to the grassroots. All civil servants are intended to be covered by the plan, which Governor Ademola Adeleke is in charge of implementing.

Additionally, he disclosed that the administration of Senetor Ademola Jackson Adeleke is actively working on a program to guarantee the free enrollment of pensioners in the program.

The public was also reassured by the incoming executive secretary that all plan participants will receive top-notch service delivery during his term, indicating his dedication to enhancing healthcare delivery and accessibility in the state.
