Akindere Family Holds Eight Days Fidau Prayer For Father, Sheik Ishaq Akintunde

The family of Akindere has held eight days Fridaus prayer of their father, Sheik Ishaq Akintunde Akindeere, who died on August 28, 2023, after a brief illness, AMILOADED reports.

The event was held at Akindeere residence in Ede, Osun State on Monday, September 4.

Prominent figures were present at the event including Sheik Son, Hon Alhaji Adam Akindeere(SA to the governor on chieftaincy), the speaker of osun state house of assembly, wife of the governor, wives of Oba Timi of Ede land, Imams and members of house of assembly, osun state.

Speaking at the event, one of the deceased, Akindere Abdul-Quadri Adekunle, said his father served God in fear and truth.

“He spent his life with the fear of God which the children witness even after his death” .

“We shouldn’t be the one speaking good about him but the work he did and also the works he left behind,” Abdul-quadri said.

Dr Richard Adekola, who is the CEO of Ride global trust foundation, described the deceased as a man with good heart who entertained everyone.

“He is someone you will always want to attribute yourself to,” Adekola said.

He also prayed God to grant Akindeere eternal rest and make his family progress in their endeavors.

Speaking at the event, the Alaigbe of Aigbeland, HRM Abdul-Azeez Musafiu Adejimi, said the late Akindeere was “a father, adviser and a cleric to all Ede indigene. He is an healer”.

“I pray God grants him eternal rest and be with the children he left behind,” Adejimi added.

Chief Abdul-Azeez Olawale stated that the deceased was a very good person to him, saying, “I have known him as a cleric for 16years now. I knew him through our king Baba Timi; he is an ambassador of Allah, we go out for prayers together and he is a philanthropist.”

Mr Olajide Akindeere, a brother to the deceased, prayed for eternal rest for late Akindeere.

He also prayed for all the family members and children to witness good things afterwards.

The chief Imam of Olohunlomerue Central Mosque, Imam Abdullah Olohunlomerue, said, “He is a well-known man with his simple and generous life. His death came as a rude shock.”
