Osun Youth Council Meets Commissioner Olagunju Over Youth Empowerment, Development Initiatives

The Youth Advisory Council, under the leadership of Hon. Adekunle Ademola-Sadipe, has met with the Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Moshood Olagunju, for youth empowerment and development initiatives, AMILOADED reports.

The delegation, which consisted of members of the Youth Advisory Council along with its Chairman, Adekunle-Sadipe, were received a by Olagunju in his office alongside the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Oladunjoye, and the Director of Youths on Friday.

Speaking, Olagunju acknowledged the significant role and achievements of the Youth Advisory Council since its establishment.

Oladunjoye highlighted the importance of the Youth Empowerment, Development, and Inclusion document created by the Youth Advisory Council, describing it as a valuable guide and a vital resource for the programs designed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs.

Oladunjoye praised the leadership qualities of Ademola-Sadipe and his team, expressing gratitude for their efforts in managing the Youth Affairs in the state.

She commended their success in uniting various youth groups, digitalizing and redesigning the model of the Imole Youth Corp, and providing support to the Ministry of Youth Affairs since the new administration took office on November 27.

On his part, Ademola-Sadipe provided a summary of the council’s recent activities as he highlighted the Imole Youth Corps initiative and the development of a website to streamline the assessment and management of beneficiaries.

He emphasized the need for Youth desks in ministries and local government areas to enhance the coordination of youth-related activities and improve the efficiency of youth systems in the state.

The commissioner expressed his delight upon hearing the updates and expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the models implemented by the Youth Advisory Council.

He expressed admiration for the team’s achievements and their contributions to the youth affairs sector.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both the Youth Advisory Council and the Commissioner for Youth Affairs said they look forward to further collaboration aimed at enhancing youth development and empowerment in Osun State.
