Reactions As Secondary School Boy Uses ChatGPT On His English Homework, Teacher Catches Him While Marking

A grade seven school boy (JSS1) has been caught after he wrote his English homework with the aid of an artificial intelligence chat box, ChatGPT.

ChatGPT has become a rage these days because of its versatility, the ability to learn and perform a very important human task.

It stands for generative Pre-Trained transformer and was developed by PoenAi to be eventually fine tuned undersupervised and reinforment learning techniques.

It is not capable of performing writing tasks like drafting letters, writing school and college essays, fairy tales, compose basic music and farewell notes for users.

However the young boy’s English assignment was shared by a man, who appeared to be his cousin, Roshan Patel.On June 1st, Roshan post a photo of his cousin’s handwritten  school homework on Twitter. He wrote in the caption that he was caught to complete his assignment.

A paragraph in the assignment begins with the line, “As an AI language model, I don’t have personal expectations or opinion,” and it was highlighted in yellow.

He wrote, “My little cousin Arjun got caught using ChatGPT on his 7th grade English homework.

The post generated massive reactions among internet user and they shared their thoughts. Some reactions are shown below:
