The lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency, Adewumi Adeyemi, popularly known as Irekandu, has congratulated Hon. Sunday Bisi on his emergence as the Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), AMILOADED reports.
Irekandu, in a statement he personally signed on Wednesday, congratulated Bisi, describing him as a man who possessed the skills required to head the party.
The lawmaker said the PDP chairman is not new to the party or grassroots politics, adding that he demonstrated ability in prior roles he held in the party.
Irekandu urged PDP members to support the new leadership of Bisi and expressed his faith in him.
The 39-year-old politician also congratulated other recently elected State Working Committee members and Executives of the party.
“The emergence of Hon. Sunday Bisi and other members of the state leadership in a free and fair congress is a proud feat that would strengthen the internal democracy of our party,” he added.
The lawmaker also congratulated Hon. Itiola Oluyemisi Adeniyi and Mrs. Adeyemi Roseline Idowu who are natives of Obokun Local Government for being part of the newly elected State Executives of the party.
Irekandu urged them to “uphold the party’s flag and do everything in their power to carry out their mandates and meet the high standards set by the party’s throngs of supporters.”
