2023: SWAGA Launched In Ife Federal Constituency As Omisore Calls For Unity In Yorubaland

 

The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA’23) has on Tuesday, launched the movement in Ife Federal Constituency in Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

The event held at Ife city Town Hall was witnesses by thousands of political enthusiastic the state.

The SWAGA ’23 team led by federal lawmakers , Hon. Ayo Omidiran, Hon Rotimi Makinde, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, and Hon Bosun Oladele were all at the country home of Senator Iyiola Omisore to intimate him with the idea behind the launching of a political movement championing the course of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president in 2023.

In his response to the call, Sen. Omisore saluted the spirit, courage and the patriotism of the team just as he advised the stakeholders to continue to see unity in Yoruba land as best bet to achieve the region’s desirable goals.

Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State and a two term Senator between 2003 to 2009 who represented Osun East Senatorial District, added that he would be willing to key into anything positive that is in the overall interest of Yoruba land and Nigeria at large.

While reacting to Omisore’s warm gesture, Hon Oyetunde Ojo in his remarks, described the former Senator as “a political colossus whose tentacles are well known beyond Ife Federal Constituency and Osun State”.

Also speaking at the event, a former House of Representatives member in the 7th Assembly who represented Ife Federal Constituency, Hon Rotimi Makinde, who played host to the team, described the visit as a right step in the right direction, adding that it will not only make their task easier in the constituency but in the state and far beyond the state as described by his colleagues.

Dignitaries present at the launching of SWAGA ’23 in Ife Federal Constituency include Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal, the Osun State APC Deputy Chairman, Senate leaders, members of the Osun State House of Assembly, Council Chairmen of the Federal Constituency and Osun State SWAGA Secretary, Prince Adetilewa Sijuade.

 

While speaking at the event, both Hon Rotimi Makinde and the state coordinator of SWAGA enjoined the residents to begin to work and to ensure continuity of APC government in the state.
