Tweeps Slam Netflix Over Redesigned Naira Diss

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

Some tweeps have been lashing out at the Nigerian subsidiary of movie streaming platform, Netflix, after it shared a post dissing the redesigned Naira unveiled on Wednesday.

The newly-redesigned Naira had been bashed by some Nigerians as being merely a coloured filtered version of the old notes. Following the same line of argument, Netflix shared two versions of their logo with the caption, “If we decide to change our logo. Old, New.”

Although the tweet has now been deleted, Nigerians are still slamming the international company for the disrespect.

Taiwo Ajakaye said, “Lol, the Sorosoke handler of #NetflixNaija deleted the tweet already. No work ethics, no capacity to restrain emotion and focus more on what matters. At the end of the day, they will blame stepmother for losing their jobs. No need to delete it o!”

Daisy Eff retweeted the offending post and said, “This is very disrespectful #netflix, #NetflixNaija. Dropping my subscription immediately.”

Okoye Chivita said, “It’s a shame #netflix would allow it’s handle #NetflixNaija to be turned into a political tool. Does that not even breach their own policy?”

Omechekoleya tweeted, “I sincerely hope who ever made that tweet is held liable. Idiots are with the loudest voice. #NetflixNaija, you people did wrong and I hope as a company you do right, apologize to Nigeria and Nigerians and fire the idiot that made that offensive post”

Sam Roks said, “I won’t renew my #NetflixNaija subscription when it expires this month. This is very insulting and condescending.”
