Why We Arrested Ibadan-Based Broadcaster, Oriyomi Hamzat – Police Break Silence

The Nigeria Police have confirmed the arrest of Oriyomi Hamzat on Thursday.

The popular Ibadan-based broadcaster was taken by Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) operatives.

A statement by Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi gave the update.

The spokesman noted that Hamzat was transported to custody for a cyber bullying case under invstigation.

Adejobi said Oriyomi refused to honour invitation severally, which prompted the police to secure a warrant for his arrest.

“We are looking into the petition written against him on his violation of the Cyber Crime Act, 2015, and necessary action will be taken to do justice in the matter”, the statement reads.

Hamzat has been vocal over the case murdered Timothy Adegoke, who was a Masters student at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) until his death.

  2. God will vindicate and fight for him.But,is it w crime to be faithfull.
    This is why Nigeria is a crime state.Even if Adedoyin was acquired, everybody knows the truth.
