Osun PDP Crisis: I’m Committed to Reconciliation, ‘Brotherhood’ , Says Ademola Adeleke

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, has said that the just concluded reconciliation meeting within the state chapter of the PDP was in line with his “philosophy of brotherhood and partnership for all in the interest of Osun people”, AMILOADED reports.

Sen. Adeleke said this after a closed door meeting to reconcile various factional groups in the state on Sunday.

It was gathered that the meeting which had in attendance Prince Dotun Babayemi among others was seeking a united front for the PDP to ensure “landlside victory” for the PDP in the forthcoming election.

Senator Adeleke who was accompanied to the meeting by top officials of the Imole team said he was committed to reconciliation with aggrieved members of the party, saying, “I support an all inclusive effort towards electoral victory.

“To this end, I welcome my colleagues who may be aggrieved for one reason or the other. As I always reiterated, we are not enemies but same political family with a common political enemy. Defeating the APC is therefore the most important task before all leaders of PDP for now.

“As our national chairman always noted, Osun is a gateway to PDP victory at the 2023. Our victory in Osun is the much needed energy for the party to win national elections. We are therefore calling on all our leaders to forget the bickering of the past and join hands to record success in July,” the governorship candidate said.

The meeting was presided over by Hon Eyitayo Jegede, the Chairman of the reconciliation committee, and attended by chosen members of aggrieved camp and Imole team members, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, Hon Akanni Olohunwa, among others.
