N500m Suit Filed Against Osun Reps Member Over Alleged Assassination

 

A five hundred million naira suit has been filed against the member representing Ifelodun, Boripe, Odo-Otin Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Rasheed Olalekan Afolabi, over an allegation made against Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo (MUSADEK), AMILOADED reports.

In the law suit No. HOS/33/2022 instituted by Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo, the Plaintiff is urging the court to award against the House of Reps member N500 million and a written apology to the Plaintiff to be filed in the national daily over allegations of assassination leveled by the Defendant against the Plaintiff at the Department of the State Security Services.

The plaintiff, it was gathered, sometime in October 2021, wrote a petition to the DSS alleging that some hoodlums attempted to assassinate him along Lokoja, Kogi State on his way to Abuja and that the defendant was his principal suspect.

Investigation by the DSS, it was gathered, revealed that there was no merit in the petition to warrant holding the plaintiff culpable in the allegations.

Consequently, the plaintiff filed this suit to seek remedies against the Defendant’s allegations.

Similarly, Hon.Justice A. A. G. Onibokun has on 11th May, 2022 granted the Plaintiff leave to paste the process on the campaign office of the Defendant in Ikirun and.same was executed on 13th May, 2022

Speaking to newsmen, Hon Afolabi said he was not aware of any court paper.
“I wasn’t aware of any court paper. Thank you,” the federal lawmaker said.
