Family members, Friends Celebrate Asiwaju Musulumi Of Yoruba Land, Khamis Badmus, At 76

 

Family members and friends of the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta States, and Managing Director of TUNS International Holdings, Khamis Olatunde Badmus, on Monday celebrated the businessman on the occasion of his 76th birthday.

The birthday celebration of Asiwaju Badmus was held with a prayer and anniversary lecture themed, ‘INDUSTRIALISATION DURING ECONOMIC RECESSION; Lessons for New Generation of Entrepreneurs (Asiwaju Tunde Badmus as a case study)’.

The event was held at the celebrant’s residence in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Monday.

The Mufasir of Osogboland, Sheik Abdullateef Abajaoro, while delivering a message from Quran, said the way forward for Nigeria “is prayer but not the way it is done”.

He said, “We can’t continue praying the way we do now and expect any result Muslims should pray separately, likewise Christians and others. Putting everyone together in a place and asking that prayers be answered is not the way.”

Sheik Musa Animashaun, Chief Imam of Osogbo land, also prayed for the continued preservation of the celebrant and political leaders.

Dr Mufutau Niyi Raji, the guest lecturer, speaking on the lecture, expatiated the key points of the lecture saying, “Industrialisation is the key to development and recession is a business cycle contraction mentioning that economic recession is not a big deal and every country experiences it per time.”

He further implored the state government to take lessons from the lecture and implement them.

Also speaking at the event, the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, who was represented by his deputy, said, “Holding a lecture to celebrate birthday to integrate issues of national and International significance is Asiwaju’s way and a confirmation of his large heart in service to humanity. Osun and the nation has benefitted from this strategic life in the living of a man who’s tirelessly always seeking ways to make lives better.”

“It is therefore my pleasure to and honour to felicitate one of our own and one who continues to live his adult life to add value is n significant and strategic ways to humanity on behalf of the government and the good people of Osun State. We hand him over to the Almighty to to continue to prosper and guide him to achieve his destiny.

“I am happy that this year’s lecture, themed ‘INDUSTRIALISATION DURING ECONOMIC RECESSION: Lessons for New Generation of Entrepreneurs (Asiwaju Tunde Badmus as a case study)’, has been organised to examine an issue of global concern and importance. It has been proven overtime that industrialisation entails sustainable demonstration and not availability of funds. Today’s lecture is apt in interrogating economic recession using a tested and trusted methodology.”

Other present at the event include the Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Senator Ajibola Bashir, SSG, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, Ataoja of Osogbo,  Aragbiji of Ìrágbìjí, Naibul Iman of Osogbo land, Chief Imam of Osogbo land, Baba Adeen of Osogbo land, amongst others.
