The annual public lecture and award presentation of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, will hold on Thursday, April 28, 2022, AMILOADED reports.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Ayodele Abere, on Monday.
According to Abere, the theme of the public lecture for this year is, ‘Journalism, Security, Party Politics And Election Coverage: The Way Forward’.
The event which has been slated to hold at the CDA Event Centre, Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital would commence at 11:00am.
Abere added that the lecture would enable all the critical stakeholders in relation to the subject matter to be adequately prepared and shun all acts of indiscipline during the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State.
He stated that Prof. Omotoye Olorode will grace the event as the guest speaker, while Mr. Ropo Ewenla will be a moderator/contributor.
“People and institutions to be honoured at the event include Alhaja Bosede Adedibu, wife of the Ibadan politician, late Alhaji Adedibu, Mrs Aminat Ajibola, popularly referred to as Amiloaded and Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.
“Members of the general public are by this statement enjoined to grace the occasion,” Abere said.
