The Mayegun of Iwo land, Alhaji Debo Badru, and his wife, Mrs Rihannat Adefunke Badru, have on Friday organised a walk to live program in celebration of the Mayegun’s 61st birthday, AMILOADED reports.
Many APC supporters in Iwoland also trooped out en-mass to show their support for Badru.
General Adelekan Adeniran (RTD), A stakeholder of Ola-Oluwa local government, Honourable Oguntola Mudasiru Togun, Special Adviser to the Governor and Mr Anifowose Abdulraman, Iwo local government youth leader were present at the event.
The event kicked off around 8am at Iwo local government Council Secretariat opposite DC School Araromi, Iwo town.
While speaking to AMILOADED, the celebrant, said the purpose of the endurance walk was to show his undying support to the Governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, who is vying for a second term in office, and to also appeal to all the the residents of Iwo town as well as Osun State, in general, to continue to support the governor for his re-election.
He further commended the good works of the Osun State Governor just as he said he strongly believe he can do more to take the state to a greater height.
Some of the APC supporters present at the event further demonstrated their support for the governor of the state.
