Ileya 2021: Saka-Layonu (SAN) Congratulates Muslims, Says “Be Optimistic About Nigeria’s Bright Future”

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Alhaji Ismail Abiodun Saka-Layonu (SAN), has congratulated Muslims across the world over the ongoing Eid-ul-Adha also known as Ileya festival.

In a congratulatory message personally signed and released in his hometown Ede, Alhaji Ismail Saka-Layonu (SAN), explained that the festival is loaded with teachings and lessons about healthy living, good neighbourliness and nation building among others which according to him should be adhered to.

“Majorly, this festival is about reaffirming one’s commitment and loyalty to Allah (SAW), fulfilling one’s promises at all times which would in turn earn us immeasurable blessings like it did, in the case of Prophet Ibrahim.” Alhaji Saka-Layonu said.

Also, the legal luminary was particular in his message about the importance of faith in nation building, explaining that Nigeria’s current challenges are complicated because many citizens have not been keeping faith with Nigeria.

“While I admit that there are challenges confronting us as a people, I simultaneously know the power of faith especially in a developing world like ours.

“If we believe more in the future of Nigeria, it will strengthen us towards the path of patriotism and would want to do more to see a better country. This is what has helped most developed countries globally and I want us to emulate this.

“We do not have another country and that is why we must do everything possible towards having a greater Nigeria.” Alhaji Saka-Layonu (SAN) added.

Please in our celebrations, let us keep safe and well and remember to be guided by all covid 19 protocols.

A s’eyi s’amodun o. Amin.
