Two Suspected Kidnappers Arrested, Six Victims Rescued In Osun

 

 

Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested and six victims were rescued by the Osun State Police Command on Monday.

 

AMILOADED gathered that the six victims were kidnapped while traveling along Ila Orangun road.

According to reports, the suspected kidnappers took them to a forest immediately after they were kidnapped along Ila road.

AMILOADED further gathered that the police rescued the victims when the suspected kidnappers were negotiating for a ransom with the victims’ relatives.

 

Findings revealed that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, who is in charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, DCP Raji Hamzat, led the rescue operation.

It was also gathered that some local hunters who are members of the Hunters Group of Nigeria (HGN) teamed up with the policemen for the operation.

 

Confirming the story, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Olawale Olokede said another victim was equally rescued from the kidnappers at Ilesa axis but the kidnappers had escaped.

 

The CP disclosed that the men of the police operatives on the trail of the fleeing kidnappers.

He assured that the fleeing suspected kidnappers would be arrested and brought to face the law.
