The people of Ejigbo, Egbedore, Ede South and Ede North local government areas of Osun state have described the Chief of Staff to Governor Rauf Aregbesola as God’s sent who would usher in enormous blessings and development to the state when voted for during the September 22 governorship election.
Speaking on behalf of the Ede people during Oyetola’s consultation to the area, the Chairman, Elders Forum of Ede South Local Government Area, Hon. Deji Agboola said they were not in support of the Osun West Agenda being peddled by some people.
According to Agboola, not even the Osun West agenda could prevent Oyetola from succeeding his principal, Aregbesola come November this year.
Oyetola, a frontline gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress has been touring all council areas in the state to consult party faithful and eligible voters and solicit their support ahead of the July 7 primary election of his party.
The people of Ejigbo, Egbedore , Ede South and Ede North local governments have therefore assured the Chief of Staff of their unalloyed support in his quest to fly the ruling party’s ticket.
Oyetola had been welcomed to these areas with funfare by ecstatic members of the councils.
On why they rendered their allegiance to him, Agboola said Oyetola has been playing active roles in the actualization of the six integral action plans of Governor Aregbesola.
He described the aspirant as “the engine room of the Aregbesola administration in the last 90months.”
The chairman of the Elder’s Forum said Oyetola had displayed mental and intellectual capacity in public service, humility and a courageous heart to solve all problems confronting the state.
While distancing the Ede South elders from the Osun West agenda, Agboola said “we are totally against such agitation as it is against the spirit and letter of Nigeria’s and APC constitution.
” It is inimical to growth and development of any society; what we are promoting is good governance and better life for Osun people which can be achieved by somebody who is competent and has the capacity, and Oyetola is our God sent.” he maintained.
Also speaking at the Ede South rally held at Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School, Ede, another prominent APC elder from the area visited, Alhaji Fatai Olaleye said Oyetola’s ambition has already flown.
