Osun PDP Ward Congress Successful Despite Hitches – Members

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Osun state have argued that the just concluded Ward Congress throughout the state was a success despite the disruptions that happened in some Wards during the process.

A party member who confided in Amiloaded on Wednesday said that the Congress which 224 wards was concluded out of 332. Remaining 108 wards of the state under the close monitoring of a former governor of Benue, Mr Gabriel Suswan, who was the Chairman of a five-member panel that conducted it was a sucess.

In his speech, Former governor of Benue who was also the chairman of the panel said that with what he saw in the state during the congress, members of the party were now more united, urging that the people of the state to support PDP to win the next year’s governorship election.

In his remarks, a member of the party’s caretaker committee in the state, Mr Bamidele Salami, said the congress was conducted in all the wards in the state except in Ede North and Ede South areas of the state.

Salami said that PDP leaders in the two local government areas were trying to resolve ‘some issues ‘ which, according to him, would be resolved amicably.

Also, outcome of today’s meeting held in Abuja was that the party should resolve within themselves and they should all go home and harmonize the remaing 108Wards that was not concluded
