The deputy Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuff has dolled out free textbooks and writing materials to some selected schools in his constituency as part of the activities that marked his 57th birthday anniversary.
Yusuff who represents the people of Irepodun/Olorunda/Osogbo and Orolu Federal Constituency in Osun state clocked 57 on Wednesday amid pomp and pageantry.
The schools that benefited from the deputy speaker’s generosity include ADS Middle School, Erin Osun, Ogidan Middle school Oshogbo, Islahudeen Middle School, Olorunda, Orolu Middle school, Ifon osun, Imma Middle school and Larrosson Middle school both in Ilobu.
The managements of these schools appreciated the efforts of Lasun, who is a governorship aspirant in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state next year, in promoting reading culture and education in the state.
To mark his birthday, the aides to the Deputy Speaker of the lower chamber of the National Assembly organised a get-together where they extolled the virtues of their principal.
The aides wished him long life and prosperity in good health and more wealth.
