Kayode Oduoye To Youths: Your Time To Lead Is Now

Hon. Kayode Oduaoye (SUPER KAY), a top politician in Osun state, who has also indicated interest to succeed Governor Rauf Aregbesola has challenged Nigerian youths to take their destined positions in leadership capacity instead of waiting for tomorrow.

Honourable Oduoye made this known on Thursday at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife during a lecture organized in his honour by the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management under the umbrella of Environmental Design and Management Students’ Association (EDEMSA), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

The Lecture titled “The Roles of Built Environment Professionals in the Sustainability Development of Osun State” as delivered by Dr. O. Daramola was organised in honour of Dr. Kayode Oduoye for his efforts in the development of Osun State in all sectors and his zeal towards the sustainability of the State and mankind.

The lecture, a copy of which was made available to Amiloaded gave insights on how environmental professionals can help to improve the economy of Osun State by creating a sustainable urban and rural developments.

Kayode Oduoye who was represented by Pastor Sam Segun-progress express his joy to Management of the Faculty and the entire Students’ body for the honour bestowed on him.

In his speech, the politician encouraged the Students to be involved in the affairs of the state and how they are governed.

He said “the time is now, the tomorrow is now. I charge you to get involved in Nigerian Politics so as to take charge of governance from the “GrandPas”.

The governorship aspirant who used the opportunity to mention few of his good intentions for the state bagged the “Award of Exceptionalism in Leadership and Service in Osun State” in appreciation of his exemplary leadership roles and exceptional service to the State.

The event played host to prominent Nigerians like the First Female Professor of Quantity Surve in Africa, Prof. (Mrs) M. O Babalola, the Osun-born Former Dean of the Faculty, Prof. B.T Aluko, the Dean of the Faculty and, the Heads of Departments, University Dons and students.
