Babatunde Adedotun Taiwo, a top politician in Osun state who is also said to be in the race to succeed Governor Rauf Aregbesola, has joined millions of lovers and well wishers to celebrate the Oluwo of Iwo, HRM Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi as he clocked 50.
In a congratulatory statement made available to Amiloaded on Saturday, Babatunde Adedotun, fondly called ‘Igba Otun De,’ said the ascension of Oba Adewale Akanbi to the throne has brought glory and peace to Iwo town adding that the monarch’s style of kingship, grace and carriage have been appreciated by all and sundry.
He described trlhe birthday celebrant as one of the most referred royal fathers in Yoruba land.
The governorship aspirant of the September 2018 gubernatorial poll said that “On behalf of Ìgbà Òtun group, I join the good people of the State of Osun to wish Oba Adbulrahsheed Akanbi happy birthday and many happy returns in good health and increased grace.
“As you step into another year, Kabiyesi, may your throne and Iwo land continue to grow in every good thing. May your time continue to bring joy, peace and prosperity to the land of Odò Obà.
“Kabiyesi has demonstrated to the teeming youthful populace of Nigeria and beyond that wisdom is not only embedded in age as a young, youthful, vibrant, well-respected and wise king,” he noted.
