Osun State suffered natural disaster yesterday evening as heavy down pour wreaked havoc on the capital city of Osogbo.
According to an eyewitness many residents , especially those living close to water channels were sacked from their homes following the rain which lasted for few hours . While some homes were heavily flooded.
The worst affected areas is the oke oniti area before Olubi construction. The missing victims have been found dead earlier this morning.
Osun State government today visited the affected area in Osogbo, during which it condoled the flood victims that lost one or two things in the incident.
Governor Aregbesola, accompanied by top government officials, added that the government will bring assessment report to avert future occurrence.
During the visits, Governor Aregbesola advised the people of the state to avoid dumping refuse on water channels and inside rivers or any water bodies.
He also advised people to avoid living close to river.
“The neighborhood thank the Osun State government for coming to condole them and see the situation; it means this government is for the people.
