The new Inspector General of Police on Saturday visited Borno state where he donated relief materials and drugs for the up keep of internally displaced persons on behalf of the police force.
He was accompanied by other heads of paramilitary Agencies including Controller General of Nigerian immigration service Mohammed Babandede, Controller General Nigera prison service Ahmed Jafaru and Controller General Nigerian Civil Defence Corps Abdullah Gana Mohammed.
The items were presented to the zonal coordinator NEMA North east Alh muhammed kanar at the Customs office along Ngamborun Ngala road Maiuguri Borno state.
The Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima commended the IGP for providing the items to the IDPs.
They thanked the Governor for receiving them.
